Princeton Zine Workshop Participation Form
The Princeton Zine Workshop forms part of the event series called Belonging(s) in Movement (October 11-14, 2019) that places indigenous and immigrant stories in/from the Americas in conversation with one another and offers an alternative form of exchange to the free trade agreements that privilege the mobility of capital and commodities over that of human beings. The Zine Workshop, hosted in the East Pyne building of Princeton University, will be led by visiting artists and activists from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan: Chris Morin, Michael Peterson, Manuela Valle-Castro, and Kevin Wesaquate. The Saskatoon artists, scholars and activists—who identify as First Nation, Métis, and Chilean—have led workshops for Newcomers to make zines (artisanally-produced books) of their immigration stories. Participants—half of whom are students/faculty of the University, half of whom live within the Princeton community—will use their own stories related to land and movement to produce zines, which will be stored in the Princeton digital and Ephemera archives.

This application is for the zine-making Workshop on 10/12 from 8:30 am to 6:30 pm (note: three meals will be provided as part of the workshop).

Responses will be viewed by the workshop facilitators (Chris, Michael, Manuela, Kevin) and event organizers Professor Nicole Legnani (Spanish & Portuguese) and Vero Carchedi (G3, Spanish & Portuguese).

Please complete this form by Friday, October 4 so that we can assure the number of participants in the workshop.
