A Camden City man who was accused of being high on "wet" when he allegedly slashed a 12-year-old girl's throat and killed her younger brother as he intervened has been indicted on charges, according to the Camden County Prosecutor's Office.

The indictments against Osvalda Rivera where handed down by a Grand Jury last week and made public on Wednesday. Rivera, 32, is accused of killing Dominic Andujar, age 6, in his home.

Police said he was attempting to sexually assault the boy's sister when the boy intervened and tried to stop Rivera to protect his sister. Her throat was slashed but she was able to escape the house and run to a neighbor.

Andujar was found with his throat slit in the same home, and was pronounced dead at the scene at 3:02 a.m.

The siblings, along with a 9-year-old girl, had been left in the care of a 14-year-old girl who was babysitting the younger children due to the mother staying in the hospital, recovering from surgery, and Dominick’s father living out of state. Officials said the 9- and 14-year-old were unharmed in the incident.

The 12-year-old girl survived her injuries. Rivera was indicted on the following charges:

• Murder

• Felony Murder, Aggravated Sexual Assault

• Felony Murder, Burglary

• Attempted Murder

• Aggravated Sexual Assault

• Burglary

• Aggravated Assault

• Terroristic Threats

• three counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child

• two weapons offenses related to possession of a knife.

He is being held in the Camden County Jail. The prosecutor's office said he also faces indictment on counts of aggravated sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child in connection with the Aug. 13, 2012, assault of a 2-year-old Camden boy. Authorities said that attack is unrelated to the 6-year-old’s murder and he was indicted on those offenses several weeks ago.
