Authorities investigating shooting at Carneys Point bar

- Police are currently at the scene of a shooting at Sullivan's Tavern at the intersection of Route 48 and South Pennsville-Auburn Road.

Scanner reports stated a 19-year-old male was wounded in the head in the incident which occurred shortly before 1 p.m.

Carneys Point Township police officers, members of the Salem County Prosecutor's Office, as well as K-9 units, are currently at the scene.

The victim was airlifted to a nearby hospital, officials said.

Witnesses said they saw a man in handcuffs being placed in a police car.

It was not clear whether this person was a suspect in the shooting.
