Be Open to the Joy All Around You
Dear Friend,
Joy is one of the fruits of Holy Spirit. To let it permeate your life, trust in God, lighten up and, like a child, be open to the enlivening gifts, large and small, that every day can bring.
In Christ,
Sr. Theresa Rickard, OP
President and Executive Director

'My Spirit Rejoices'—Grace's Story
A young woman perceives God’s unconditional gift of joy in all of life’s circumstances, from personal challenges to her parish ministry work.
Grace's story is part of a new video series from RENEW International entitled Turning Points: Witness Stories. The videos offer a way to help parishioners start a dialogue about faith with family and friends who have left the Church or who are religious “seekers.”

Catechetical Sunday: Teaching About
God's Gift of Forgiveness
The Church celebrates Catechetical Sunday on September 21, 2014, and will focus on the theme “Teaching About God's Gift of Forgiveness.” Catechetical Sunday gives us an opportunity to reflect on the role that we play in sharing faith with others and being witnesses to the Gospel.
Forgiveness and Reconciliation offers a profound understanding of people’s desire to be forgiven and the steps to take to live reconciled lives. Reflect on the healing power of God and the richness of the sacrament of reconciliation to discover again how to live in the freedom of God.
From September 8 through September 30, enjoy FREE SHIPPING on Forgiveness and Reconciliation. Use code FRFS at checkout.

The staff of RENEW International paused recently to celebrate the life of long-time supporter Kathleen Marie Norris, who died on August 5 at her home in Venice, Florida.
Kathleen and her husband, Jack, were honored at RENEW’s annual gala in 2004 for decades of financial, professional, and practical help.
Kathleen and Jack, who were parishioners at the Church of the Presentation in Saddle River, New Jersey, were personally very generous to RENEW.
