Wi-Fi issues hound OS X Yosemite, Mac users complain – report

Could this be the desktop version of the hated iOS 8.0.1?

Just as upgrading to iOS 8.0.1 cut off the phone function of iPhone 6 units, upgrading to OS X Yosemite appeared to cause Wi-Fi connection issues for users, PC World reported.

"Attempts by users to isolate the cause of the issue have been fruitless so far. The problem affects a variety of Macs with dissimilar configurations and linked to many different routers," the site said, citing posts on forums.

It said the complaints indicate the problem started after installing Yosemite, the latest version of OS X available for desktop and laptop computers.

There does not appear to be a universal solution to the problem, it added.

"In most cases, Wi-Fi becomes unstable, with connections dropping every few minutes, irritatingly slow or simply unusable," PC World said.
