This is Why We Can Read at 25,000 Words Per Minute

This tiny example highlights one of the reasons why you can read at speeds upwards of 25,000 words per minute and PhotoRead an entire book in 5 minutes. Your brain has brilliant pattern recognition and can take information in at what feels like the speed of light and doesn't need every single letter and every single word in order to make sense of and understand what you are reading.

The Visual and Reading Illusion

The New Global Online Video Webinar Training is Now Available!

I noticed as I pressed 'Publish' there was something wrong with the short video above. To create it took lots of deleting and fiddling around to get within the character count word limit.

I was about to do an edit then realised it was perfect as it is because it highlights one of the major points I always make about PhotoReading which is the fact it's not just about reading every single word, it is also about the context.

I've got a variety of these handouts I give out at the Workshop, each with an increasingly bizarre construction yet everyone can always read them once their brain readjusts.

The answer is at the end of this Blog.

Reading is Also About Context and Pattern Recognition

Can you read it?

I've got several handouts I use on my PhotoReading Workshop; the one above is a similar meme that is often shared on social media.

Were you able to read it? If so, how long did it take for your brain to adjust and make sense of it?

Reading goes way beyond just seeing the words, as my PhotoReaders find out very quickly, and involves a number of different facets and factors. When you learn how to work in alignment with those factors, pulling off the feats achieved with PhotoReading suddenly becomes very easy.

As one of my recent PhotoReading Video Webinar attendees put it:

"Wow! This is a simple yet incredibly powerful and liberating skill to have that transforms and skyrockets the ability to absorb and recall information when needed."

It took them less than 3 days to 'get' it.

Your Radar for Accuracy

You also have a filter and radar for accuracy and spotting when something isn't right or missing, which is why my lawyer and business professional clients love PhotoReading and using Step 1 to assist your brain and neurology in doing this.

For me it comes as a feeling and a message to go back and look at something again.

I now love my almost deleted video because in addition to demonstrating PhotoReading in action, it also highlights another of the principles of going with the flow, being human, and realising not getting it right first time isn't the end of the world.

So what's wrong with the video?

If you haven't already spotted it, the word 'anywhere' is missing the letter 'h.' Did you notice, or were you able to easily make sense of the message?

This whole scenario reminded me of the perfect imperfection of the world, and how incredible our brain is.
