Who walked away with a 2019 Kidscreen Award?

Sinking Ship and Nickelodeon were among the biggest winners at tonight’s 2019 Kidscreen Awards, snagging seven and five awards respectively at the annual event celebrating the year’s best work in kids production, broadcasting and digital media.

Held during Kidscreen Summit in Miami, the ceremony was hosted by actor/comedian Craig Lauzon and exclusively sponsored by the Canada Media Fund.

Sinking Ship’s seven awards included Preschool Best in Class, Best Non-Animated or Mixed Preschool Series and Best Acting for Dino Dana, and among Nickelodeon’s five wins were three particularly meaningful one in the Best Writing, Best Voice Talent and Best Kids One-Off, Special or TV Movie category for SpongeBob SquarePants. It was PBS KIDS that snagged the coveted Channel of the Year award, tying with Netflix in trophy count at four. The streamer’s The Dragon Prince and Next Gen each won a pair of awards.

Assessed by two panels of highly respected industry judges, the Programming and Creative Talent winners are as follows:
