Inside Bandier's New Flatiron Store and Fitness Studio

The fashion-focused activewear boutique Bandier has really and truly arrived in New York City. After establishing temporary stores on Broadway and the Upper East Side, the Hamptons-based brand has opened its first permanent NYC brick-and-mortar location at 164 Fifth Avenue among several of its spandex-replete competitors, grabbing nearly 10,000 square feet just south of the Flatiron building.

The retail space on the ground level houses an assortment of apparel that ranges from activewear you can really sweat in to athleisure pieces that are meant to be worn before and after sweating, with labels like Olympia, Michi, Outdoor Voices, Vimmia, and Alala (get a discount code here) in the mix. Plenty of seating is available, too.

This location also boasts its own fitness studio, something that's becoming somewhat of the norm for new activewear stores in the area — but this one has the added benefit of being above ground. It's dubbed Studio B and you can expect to see instructors like Nicole Winhoffer, Akin Akman, and the women behind Yoga for Bad People appearing on the schedule. On your way up to the studio, you'll pass a lounge perfect hanging out before or after class (or shopping).

No word yet on when we can expect that sports bra bar, though.
