Spotify Adds Full “Concerts” Tab To All Artist Pages, Expanding Songkick Partnership

Spotify newSpotify has added a Concerts tab to all artist pages. It's part of a trend that's seen Spotify, Pandora and YouTube add features that help artists communicate with and monetize their fans, while often adding value for the user. Apple Music has thus far failed to follow suit.

Spotify has added a full tab to its Artist pages that lists all upcoming shows.

The listings and ticketing links are delivered by Songkick, and part of their expanding partnership. Spotify and Songkick already let fans know when artists are playing near them via personalized concert recommendations and a geo-targeted “On Tour” section.  Yesterday Songkick announced a $15 million cash infusion from WNG owners Access Industries.

It's all part of what Spotify's artist liaison Troy Carter calls "a full-stack solution" for artists, and includes merchandise sales and analytics.

The “Concerts” tab is rolling out today to all users in the Spotify desktop app.
