According to token.io https://lnkd.in/ekhBWmmr * 29% of merchants plan to convert Direct Debits to VRPs citing faster settlement times and reliability as the drivers, and * VRPs are expected to generate higher success rates and deliver better user experiences than traditional recurring payment methods But * 49% were concerned about the lack of a consumer protection framework, and * 49% were concerned though about consumers' willingness to adopt VRPs   According to our own research at RPMC https://lnkd.in/e3vhKCiX   * A staggering 85% of UK consumers choose to pay for all or the vast majority of their regular bills by Direct Debit But, when asked which additional features would make them more likely to use Direct Debit:   * 25% said there was nothing that could encourage them to use DD more, but * 23% said they would use it more if they had the ability to authorise each payment before it's made, and * 18% cited the ability to set a maximum payment and to limit the number of payments in total All features of cVRPs   These figures unsurprisingly grew to 42% and 34% amongst those who were hesitant to use Direct Debit in the first place.   Faster settlement times and reliability may be drivers for PSPs, merchants and third party providers But in the UK at least, there seems a clear opportunity to build upon a well established, well understood, known and trusted brand in Direct Debit with some of the features of cVRPs that consumers value - particularly those who need more reassurance. It’s time to walk the walk🏃‍♀️… I've been yapping on recently about mentioning competitors in your content. So I reached out to 9 different regtech marketing firms. I asked them: 📸 why their firm works with regtech firms?  📞 what makes them stand out from competitors? 🎙 who their ideal regtech client is? And I’ll be compiling their answers in an article for my regtech content marketing agency’s website: The Search Cure. So why am I giving competitors free PR and potential leads? 1. As a content ONLY marketing agency, my firm handles a very specialised type of campaign. Don’t get me wrong, I’m very confident in my abilities to strategise and write content. But we don’t offer services like paid media, PR, or influencer marketing. By promoting other types of regtech marketing agencies, we can help searchers meet their needs (the ultimate goal of any content, imo). 2. With a fair presentation of the different options, I’m hoping to build trust with my readers. I don’t see any negatives on this, especially in regards to overall branding.    3. In creating contacts at likeminded agencies, I’m hoping to curate authentic relationships, share insights and refer work when possible. Only time will tell on this point. 4. I have a chance to put my firm in a list with other well-respected and established marketing firms. As I’ll be tagging these contacts and agencies on LinkedIn, this might be the first time that their audience hears about The Search Cure.
