NMRT Resume Review Service Information

Thank you for visiting the information site for the 2020 ALA Midwinter Meeting Resume Review Service.

The NMRT Resume Review Service is a wonderful way to make sure that your resume is in top condition. It is also a great way to give back by volunteering to review resumes or greet those getting their resumes reviewed.

Resumes will be reviewed from 9:00am until 5:00pm on Saturday, January 25th and Sunday, January 26th 2020, at the ALA JobList Placement & Career Development Center during the 2020 ALA Midwinter Meeting in Philadelphia, PA.

Due to the high demand for resume review, we recommend setting up your resume review appointment in advance.

Schedule your appointment today! The deadline to sign up for appointments is January 14th, 2020.

Not ready to commit? Feel free to stop by the ALA JobList Placement & Career Development Center at the Pennsylvania Convention Center, in Terrace I Ballroom on Saturday, January 25th and Sunday, January 26th 2020, to see if any appointments are available. Please note that appointments tend to book up quickly. We strongly encourage those interested to sign-up for an appointment online in advance.

Interested in volunteering as a reviewer or booth greeter?

Calling all resume reviewers:

• Have you ever been a hiring manager or sat on a search committee or have at least 5 years experience in libraries? Do you have an extra hour or two in your schedule at ALA Midwinter 2020? The Resume Review Service needs you! Sign up to review resumes at ALA Midwinter 2020.

Calling all booth greeters:

• Do you need some service activities for your resume or CV? Do you like talking to new people? Then the Resume Review Service is looking for you! We are in need of some friendly folks to serve as Booth Greeters at the on-site Resume Review Service at ALA Annual. This is an excellent opportunity for library school students and new ALA members to get involved with the organization and to network with both new librarians and seasoned veterans. If you have some time to spare during the conference, then we encourage you to sign up today to spend an hour or two chatting with job seekers and helping out your fellow librarians.

The sign-up period for these volunteer opportunities will end January 14th, 2020.
