Networking is everywhere and goes beyond the online and virtual network boundaries, nothing can replace a successful “meet and greet” session and an awesome personal introduction!

Networking starts with a great personal image, moves up to the relevant curiosity, continues with a handshake and an introduction and ends with the most iconic symbol of classic networking – the business card!

With technology that moving forward, the business card is still a powerful tool and cannot be ignored. When used wisely, your little card can make a big difference!

Always keep your card and those tips handy:

  • When you hand the card to the desired associate, present it in reading direction, so he will see your logo and name right away.

Golden rules to maximize the power of the business card:

Don’t let the card become another piece of paper in your purse or desk, maximize it using those 3 simple rules:

  • As soon as you sit in front of the computer, fill in the contact details in your e-mail box and make sure the contact you created is not lost. If you had plenty of meetings that day, write yourself a side note in the contact about who exactly is the new contact you are adding to your list.
  • Now, send a brief e-mail, thanking the person for reaching out or keeping in touch, add a personal touch if you had a chance for a discussion with the colleague or client – remind the person of the successful interaction he had with you. This way you act with wonderful manners while adding yourself easily to his contact list, your contact will be saved on his inbox after your initial e-mail and
  • Don’t get rid of the card, save it in a designated album or folder and use it for days that your inspiration is running low or you feel you need to make new connections.
