Fantastic Under The Radar RPG With A Refreshing Da
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game is definitely on a budget, and rough around the edges (mostly in terms of graphics, reused assets, and lack of towns fields to interact with between dungeons. Regardless of that, the story is fantastic and paced really well. I haven't met a character I didn't get invested with. The VN portions are a perfect length and break up the dungeons well ( and vice versa). The combat is addictive and rewarding. All in all, I've really fallen in love with this game. After the first two hours, I put it down and didn't think I'd come back to it (the first dungeon is real rough looking, and honestly probably the ugliest one in the game) and the story starts out a little too by the numbers. I couldn't keep it out of my mind though, something about the darker tone, horror elements, and great characters, made me come back and give it a second chance, and I'm so so glad I did.

A very good JRPG / Visual Novel hybrid
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Things Death End ReQuest does right: The battle system, the ability system, the characters, the visual novel aspect, the story. Also it has slightly darker than usual subject matter. Things Death End ReQuest does less well: The level design, game balance, forced backtracking Over all, its a very worthwhile game to play if you like visual novels and jrpgs and you don't mind some darker subject matter (and consequently lots of screaming)

Based on cover art
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Honestly I purchased this game based on the cover art. A gamble but one that paid off. So far the gameplay and presentation are enjoyable; all points that check my box when playing a game. Worth a look.

Girls + swords = good times
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Haven't gotten far in yet, but so far, so good; she's no Asuna from Sword Art Online, but then again, who is besides the original? = )
