Summary

In partnership with Clean Water Action Connecticut and Westport Green Task Force, Earthplace is hosting a special screening of A Fierce Green Fire, the first big-picture exploration of the environmental movement. The film looks at grassroots and global activism spanning fifty years from conservation to climate change. Tickets are $7.00 in advance and $9.00 at the door, if still available.

This special event will kick-off with a reception at 6:00pm featuring wine from Organic Vintages and food from Whole Foods and Fountain of Youth Whole Foods. The screening will begin at 7:00pm and will conclude with a Q&A with filmmaker Mark Kitchell.

Mark Kitchell is best known for his documentary Berkeley in the Sixties, which won the Sundance Audience Award in 1990, was nominated for an Academy Award and won other top honors. It has become a well-loved classic, one of the defining documentaries about the protest movements of the 1960s.
