Steve Aoki and R3hab Take ‘Flight’ – Song Premiere
Nine months after famed DJ-producers Steve Aoki and R3hab premiered their collaborative banger “Flight,” the pair are giving the track a proper single release December 13th on Ultra Music. “Ever since debuting ‘Flight’ at Ultra Music Festival in March, I’ve been wanting to get it released,” Aoki tells Rolling Stone.

Dim Mak label head Aoki and Dutch house producer R3hab capture the frenetic energy of a festival setting in the recording of “Flight.” Beginning with a command to “throw your hands up high,” the three-and-a-half-minute dancefloor rager has an arena-sized feel with its gigantic beat, laser-sharp synths and a massive drop. “R3hab is one of my favorite producers to work with and it really shows on this track,” Aoki says. “It’s the perfect mix of both our signature sounds.”
It’s unclear if the track will also appear on Aoki’s hotly-anticipated upcoming album, Neon Future. In the meantime, both artists are currently on tour. R3hab will be splitting the month of December between playing abroad and in the States (see his itinerary here), returning on the day after Christmas for a set in San Francisco. Likewise, Aoki will be playing a string of shows in Asia, Latin America and Aspen, Colorado, before moving back to Miami on the first of next year.
