Orange County house shoppers bought 9,550 homes in the second quarter — busiest spring sellling season since 2006, DataQuick reports.

That buying surge pushed June’s median selling price to $453,000 — up 1.8% in a year. It tops the post-crash high of $450,000 set twice in 2010 and is 22% above January 2009’s cyclical low of $370,000.
