Excellent article, Marshall. One additional thought is that VHF contesters who use the digital modes are trading time (or rate) for new multipliers and contacts. They have plenty of time because there are few stations on the air for VHF contests and those that are on are not often heard. Given that, arguing that better rate can be achieved on CW seems pointless unless you have lots of stations to work on CW. Just one thought on that particular topic. Your article will be very useful.
