Check out Evernote here: https://evernote.com/gettingstarted/ and install it on your mobile device and your Mac.

11:30 - 2 pm HMAUS has special guest, Royce Tanouye, “Digital Trends and Forecasts — What Happened to my Super Drive?”

Do you feel like technology is moving too fast for you to keep up? Are you concerned your photos and files, now on your old computer, CDs, DVDs and thumbdrives might not be accessible in the future? Are you afraid to purchase anything for fear it will be obsolete in a year or two?

When is it really time for me to move on up to the latest and the greatest and what can I do in the meantime? We’ll cover lots of these issues for technology at home and at work. You’ll leave feeling a little more comfortable about thriving and not just surviving in the ever changing digital world. We’ll also go over specific examples of “How to transition from the old to the new and better.”

Anyone who comes and would like to do some things hands on should download the free programs: HandBrake and Audacity. Do this before you come as the download speed at Nu`uanu is unknown.

Royce comes to us as the IT Director at the Word of Life Christian Center and was a Panel Speaker for Apple’s PowerSchool locally and at National Conventions. Heʻs a long time HMAUS member and contributor.

Cost; FREE for members. $3 for nonmembers.

How to get there: Itʻs on the No. 4 bus line.
If coming by freeway, get off at Pali Hwy cut off, then stay in the right lane to the Pacific Hts. cut off. Turn left at the light and go under the freeway overpass, then RIGHT onto Nuʻuanu at the next light.

Drive up Nuʻuanu past the huge banyan tree and Hawaii Baptist Academy and youʻll see Nuuanu Baptist Church on the left at Bates ST. Turn LEFT there and drive around the church to the back parking lot. We're in the lower level of the classroom building. http://bitly.com/nuuanu-baptist. Mahalo to Donna and Pastor Bob for hosting us!

Bring your lunch and drinks.....
