Ryan White Part B

The Ryan White Part B Program provides help for low-income people living with HIV/AIDS in Maine. The Program is run by the Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention and is made up of 3 parts:

  1. The AIDS Drugs Assistance Program (ADAP). ADAP is available to households that earn less than 500% of the federal poverty limit and helps people living with HIV pay for their prescription medications, medical insurance, and some blood work.
  2. Case Management is available to households that earn less than 500% of the federal poverty limit.
  3. Financial assistance for dental care, housing, and food. Help is available for households earning less than 350% of the federal poverty limit.

When you work with us, your personal information completely confidential. You do not need to be a US citizen to get help from our program.

Do I qualify for the Ryan White Part B Program?

If you are a resident of Maine, HIV positive, and your family income is less than 500% of the federal poverty limit, then you qualify for our program. The chart below can help you figure out if your household income will allow you to access your services.

What is family income? Family income is the total income of all family members who live together or financially support each other. Partnerships in a household that do not have a legally defined relationship (like unmarried romantic partners, roommates, or adult children who are not under a guardianship) are not considered in determining the household.

How to read this chart: If you have 2 people in your house and together you make less than $71,540 every year, you qualify for all our services. If together you make more than $71,540 but less than $102,200, then you would only qualify for ADAP.
