Pledge to Resist Dominion Cove Point LNG
Dominion Energy has begun construction on a nearly $4-billion liquid natural gas (LNG) export terminal and liquefaction plant at Cove Point in Maryland. The time to take action to stop this project is now.

The export terminal at Cove Point would liquify one billion cubic feet of fracked gas each day and load it onto giant tankers destined for overseas markets. The terminal would critically damage the Chesapeake Bay ecosystem, generate more than 20 tons of hazardous air pollutants a year, lead to more destruction in the shale fields due to increased fracking and continue global dependence on fossil fuels. The terminal would also be the first of its kind built in such a densely populated area — leaving tens of thousands of homes at risk if there were to be an explosion.

Preliminary construction of the terminal has begun, and SEED (Stopping Extraction and Exports Destruction), an umbrella group of mid-Atlantic activists fighting energy extraction and exports, is calling for nonviolent escalation. Join us in taking action to stop one of the largest fossil fuel projects in the United States.
