OCPD: Science Teaching Effectiveness Program for Upcoming Professors (STEP-UP)

This course is an introduction to science education for postdoctoral scholars and graduate students who are planning on applying to faculty positions in the future.

Space is limited. Registration is required by January 5th, 2015. Priority will be given to UCSF participants who can attend all 4 days.

Lunch will be provided.

Topics:

- Developing Teaching Statements for faculty positions

- Evidence-based strategies to enhance learning for all types of learners

- Opportunities to practice developing and delivering course content, with feedback
