Pick up your Altadena Discount Card at the Yoga Divina Grand Opening, March 1, 2014!

LOS ANGELES--()--Altadena celebrates the grand opening of its first yoga studio on March 1 between 12pm-4pm. Yoga Divina makes yoga approachable, accessible and affordable for everyone. As owner and lifelong yogi Rachel Divine describes in this video, http://bit.ly/RachelYogaDivina, Yoga Divina is for super-beginners, seniors, cancer patients, the overweight or inflexible, couch potatoes – yes, EVEN YOU. Rachel breaks all the western yoga stereotypes with her olive skin, curves, Latina heritage (se habla español!), boundless positive energy and compassion to match, proving yoga is actually for every body. Rachel Divine is also a cancer survivor, and credits her yoga practice with getting her through the toughest times. It is Rachel’s intent to infuse that quality of persistence and renewal everywhere she goes. Highlights of the March 1 grand opening celebration: a tour through the beautiful new 725 square foot Yoga Divina studio in Altadena Plaza; an unveiling of the Yoga Divina Divine & Conquer Mobile, driving Yoga Divina’s style to farmer’s markets and health fairs throughout Pasadena, Altadena and all the San Gabriel Valley; and The Yoga Divina Altadena Community Discount Card, featuring discounts and door prizes for Yoga Divina products and classes, and for other participating Altadena small businesses in fashion, beauty, food, wellness and professional services, to be represented at the March 1 grand opening.

Yoga has long been considered “alternative wellness” or a pastime for celebrities or the wealthy. Western medical institutions like the Mayo Clinic are now recognizing yoga’s benefits, as can be seen here: http://bit.ly/mayo-yoga. With that recognition comes greater acceptance by the broad population, spearheaded in Southern California by Yoga Divina.

Yoga Divina classes are available in English, Spanish and Spanglish.

Group Classes are $10/each with $5 specials on specific days for seniors, veterans and cancer patients. Private classes are also available.

Yoga Divina celebrates its grand opening on Saturday March 1, 2014 from 12pm-4pm at its studio in Altadena Plaza off the 210 freeway at 2235 N Lake Ave, # 111, between E Calaveras St and E Mendocino St.
