Bolt to wait and see on street race

KINGSTON, Jamaica -- Usain Bolt's manager says the Olympic sprint champion is expected to resume training this week after injuring his foot in a car crash.

Norman Peart says Bolt will wait and see how he feels in training before deciding whether to compete in a 150-meter street race on May 17 in Manchester, England.

Bolt crashed his car in a ditch along a Jamaican highway on April 29. He had minor surgery on his left foot to remove thorns that he stepped in as he got out of the car.

Peart says the stitches are being taken out Wednesday and Bolt is expected to begin training in the coming days.

Bolt won three gold medals at the Beijing Olympics, all in world record times.
