I want to tell you about my granddad. He was a great man. No. Not great, nah nah.
What are the odds of living an extraordinary life? This is the story of one boy’s granddad who won a fortune betting on the 1966 World Cup and, when diagnosed with cancer, gambled it all on living to see the year 2000. An intergenerational tale of what we live for and what we leave behind.
Directed by Jennifer Ward-Lealand join John Burrows in the NZ Premiere of Gary McNair’s “beautifully written, deceptively simple, warmly comic piece…” Lyn Gardner (The Guardian).
Burrowed Time is proud to offer 'y Reserve' tickets to students of performing arts institutions. These are made possible with this 'Pay It Forward' accessibility initiative powered by YOU. We think that seeing theatre, and other artists' work, is a vital part of finding who you are as an artist so for every $25 donated we give a ticket to a performing arts student for FREE. If you are a current performing arts student you can sign up for tickets HERE.
IMPORTANT
Please arrive 15 minutes before show start time. Latecomers admitted into the theatre at Basement's discretion – no refunds will be given.
