About: Hey, I'm Jake! I'm an adventurous and active guy just enjoying life! I love the outdoors, and so I spend lots of time camping and hiking. I'm a lover of great food and great views, both of which Austin has plenty of! I'm always up for a run or a bike ride, a game of basketball, or some sand volleyball. My faith in God drives me to love others and be as Christ-like as I can in all that I do.

Why I Ride

There are many people I ride for and hold close to my heart, but perhaps the most influential to me is my aunt Marianne Pike. Marianne was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2014. She fought hard for over a year and a half, before passing away in January 2016. Growing up, my aunt was a vibrant part of my life. She was an amazing cook and loved to garden, so her home always looked and smelled amazing inside and out. I have many joyful memories with her that I will cherish forever.
I ride for hope. Seeing my aunt fight the effects of chemotherapy was painful for everyone who loved her, however it would have been unbearable had it been without hope. Every day we could at least hope that she would get better, and I want to work towards a world where that hope is more and more powerful, by supporting the research that may one day lead to a cure.
More importantly though, my family had hope because we knew that her faith in God meant that we would one day see her again. I want to share that hope with everyone I meet, because I can't imagine fighting cancer without it.

Please don't hesitate to contact me and share your story. I would love to hear it and make it a part of why I ride.
