LAUREN HARVEY
Hello!
I am Lauren Harvey, the assistant director of second language writing at the University of Arizona (UArizona).
My research interests include contextualized curriculum design and enactment in L2 writing, textbook and materials design in composition and L2 writing, and Internet memes and critical memetic literacy.
Originally from St. Louis, Missouri, I now live in Tucson, Arizona. I have my PhD in Second Language Acquisition and Teaching and my Master's in ESL from the University of Arizona, and my BA in English and Spanish from Ohio Wesleyan University. After earning my BA, I served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Panamá, where I discovered my love of teaching and the English language.
When I'm not teaching/researching/writing/working, I enjoy drinking tea and spending time with my cat, Snowball.
