Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, is no exception. While touring Quebec City, Kate, 29, was presented with a bouquet by Raffaela, 2, who was with her father David Cheater, 28. Cheater waited for four hours with his daughter to see the royal couple when they visited the City Hall to attend a ceremony honoring Canada’s Royal 22nd Regiment. The landscape gardener, who had left his pregnant wife, Florence, at home, told reporters, “Kate said to me, ‘What a beautiful daughter you have.’ ” The Duchess laid her hand on the youngster’s head and smiled at the little girl. He added: “When I said to her I wished her and William well with starting their own family, she said, ‘Yes, I hope to.’ ” PHOTOS: Kate & Will Take Canada! Kate was talking outside the City Hall where Prince William had delivered a short speech entirely in French. But it wasn’t all welcoming noises: as the royal couple made their way through the streets of Old Quebec, their motorcade was greeted with about 200 protesters carrying the Quebec flag and signs in French that translated as “the king is me.” Kate and William waved to the hundreds of people that lined the streets and didn’t pay attention to the protesters standing about 100 feet away. One of the people hoping to catch a glimpse of the royals was Jenny Chin, who was visiting from New York. “These are the protesters, and we’re the supportive tourists. Let’s have fun,” she said. William & Kate Say a Prayer for the Queen, Inspire Youth in Quebec City Sanchita Dhond, 17, who is visiting from Ohio, says she learned only moments before that William and Kate were visiting. “It just made this trip so much more exciting,” she said. “I watched the wedding, but I wasn’t that excited. But seeing them in the flesh is different. She’s a princess and everybody wants to be one.”
