We've reached the third and final part of Stitch's mid-season driver review, part of VivaF1's Summer Swap Shop. Twelve drivers have already had their 2011 performance graded from A-F, and now the rest of the paddock stand up for perusal today.

Sébastien Buemi

2011 Mid-Season Grade: D-

It's obvious someone at Toro Rosso has had a word with Buemi and Alguersuari. I remember when both came into F1 and I was hoping for the next Sebastian Vettel. But two years later it's hardly been like Seb's first two years.

They've not really popped up much other than when they're crashing or the odd occasion when they're into the points. I think that out of the two, Buemi is the one that should be replaced by Daniel Ricciardo.

• Season lowlight: Not proving his worth

Jaime Alguersuari

2011 Mid-Season Grade: D

There's not really much to add; Alguersuari has had a similar season to his teammate but has maybe had a few better races. I don't particularly rate him (though my cousin does). I think, though, he deserves one more season to prove himself; put alongside a rookie and see if he gets the message.

• Season highlight: Some alright results in the past few races
• Season lowlight: Six races in a row without points

Sergio Pérez

2011 Mid-Season Grade: C

I'm not going to lie, I like Pérez; he's talented, young and has a lot of potential. He's not only made a good start to his career, but he's also showed how mature he is when he admitted that he didn't feel 100% fit in Canada and also that he was able to bounce back after that shocking accident in Monaco.

Overall, for his first season, I'd say it's been quite good. I can see him replacing Massa in 2013 (they don't just let anyone into the Ferrari Drivers' Academy).

Paul di Resta

2011 Mid-Season Grade: C

I didn't like Paul di Resta at first; there was just something about him that I didn't like. But since then, I've realised he's not too bad. At the start I thought he came across as a bit cocky and arrogant (I was apparently alone in these thoughts) but having actually watched interviews and watched him race, I came to realised that he's not half bad.

I like him because he's also an alternative to the McLaren drivers and a friend of mine chose him over Button and Hamilton. Like Pérez, his first year has been pretty good.

• Season highlight: Career best 7th in Hungary
• Season lowlight: Eight races in a row with points

Rubens Barrichello

2011 Mid-Season Grade: E

Oh Rubens! What a year (to forget)! It's never gone right for you. Never mind Mark Webber being the unluckiest driver, first you get screwed by Ferrari, then you lose to a man who seems to have no concept of shaving (Jenson Button), you're almost shoved into a wall by Michael Schumacher and finally you end up in the worst mid-field car of the grid.

For a man who came second in the WDC, it's not really worked out. Maybe you should consider, dare I say, early retirement?

The Rest

Is there much point in analyzing this lot? I'll do it though.

Jarno Trulli - E+ Jarno makes me laugh off the grid but on it I just feel a little sorry for him - it's not gone well since Toyota left and perhaps you should think about the same thing I've suggested to Rubens and Michael.

• Season highlight: Being the top of the bottom teams
• Season lowlight: Being out-qualified by Kovalainen

Tonio Liuzzi - E- I'm not really sure what to put about Tonio; I don't know much about him and he hasn't really popped up on the radar. I'll just congratulate him on keeping the car on the circuit for the majority of the time.

• Sum up in a word: Useless? (Not him, the whole point of Hispania)
• Season highlight: Qualifying for races
• Season lowlight: Being over the 107% rule

Pastor Maldonado - F- He's behind a Hispania? For Pete's sake. The GP2 champion. I don't know what else to say. I now feel like an idiot for defending him to my dad.

• Sum up in a word: Useless
• Season highlight: There are none
• Season lowlight: The whole of it

Jérôme D'Ambrosio - F+ The guy's nickname is Custard. That is awesome. Unfortunately that's the only thing that is. I'm finding it hard to judge seeing as he's in a Virgin, so I don't know what to write about his driving ability.

• Sum up in a word: Confusing
• Season highlight: Beating his more experienced teammate
• Season lowlight: Not really sure; nothing really stands out to me

Heikki Kovalainen - F Heikki Kovalainen is the cheeriest guy on the grid. Unfortunately, niceness doesn't earn you points and that makes me sad to watch him floundering.

• Sum up in a word: Cheery
• Season highlight: Getting into Q2
• Season lowlight: Coming behind his teammate. A lot.

Timo Glock - F When he had that outburst in Germany, I wasn't sure whether to laugh or be shocked. Either way it's made little difference to his season. He's still consistently low. At least he's consistent.

• Sum up in a word: Consistent
• Season highlight: Getting away with a public outburst at his team
• Season lowlight: Having a public outburst at his team

Narain Karthikeyan - F- Waste. Of. Time. Sorry Narain, but there's no point in even me bothering. But well done in finishing Grands Prix. That's... an achievement. Of sorts.

• Sum up in a word: Pointless
• Season highlight: Nothing
• Season lowlight: Coming last five times

Daniel Ricciardo I don't want to judge because he's only been in three GPs, so I'll just say that even though he can't prove himself in a Hispania, a poor drive is better than no drive, right?
