Snow warning: Do not go to sleep with your car parked in a snow emergency route in D.C. All vehicles parked in the city's snow emergency routes will be towed; drivers will be burdened with heavy fines and will be required to make a trip to the city's infamous impound lot.
The D.C. government declared a snow emergency that will go into effect 7 o'clock Monday morning. All cars parked on snow emergency routes after 7 a.m. Monday will be ticketed and towed, DDOT officials said.
