Tinder for travel is finally here

Saying something is like "Tinder for [whatever]" is 2014's version of a studio exec claiming a script is like "Die Hard in [whatever setting]". It's sexy, concise, and references a universally known success. So now, we've got the Tinder for travel... because eventually, it had to happen.

Tripnary is a free app available on iOS that, like the popular hook-up app, presents you with options all over the world, from a historic bridge in Italy to a beach resort in the Maldives. OK, so it's not exactly as enticing as random Felicia who's 6mi away, but you get the point. Simply swipe to the right on attractions you're into, and swipe to the left if you're not. It's just like Tinder in that regard -- except without all the sedated tigers and women doing handstands to prove they do yoga regularly.

Here's a preview of how it works:

Browsing through destinations saved to your "bucket list", Tripnary can pull up relevant info, like trending bars and must-see sights, or airfares on a "Flights" page powered by Skyscanner that gives options for your location and available dates.

The nifty app even saves maps and addresses on your itinerary as you go along -- that way, when you’re actually on vacation, you have all the details you need in one place.
