GLOBAL MELTDOWN III

We are living in an age of global crisis - of catastrophic MELTDOWN, an environmental, economic, medical, political, and social crisis the proportions of which have never before been seen. Historically, artists have foreseen, described and been inspired by crisis. The subject of this exhibition is every aspect of the GLOBAL MELTDOWN crisis.  Entry is open to all artists working in any media.

ENTRY GUIDELINES AND RULES BELOW

ELIGIBILITY AND RESTRICTIONS:  This call is open to all artists, national and international, working in all media. All forms of art are eligible. Entrants must be 18 years of age or older to apply. Wall mounted works must not be taller than 96" no wider than 120".  Sculptural work must fit through a 36" wide entry door.

EXHIBITION:   Winning artists will be featured in a group exhibition at the Limner Gallery, June 22 - July 22, 2023. The exhibition will also be displayed on the Limner Gallery web site and social media pages. The exhibition also be archived on the Limner Gallery web site.

EXHIBITION TERMS: All works in the show must be for sale. The gallery will take a 35 percent commission on all sales. Sale price is determined by the  artist. 

ENTRY FEES:  There is a $35.00 entry fee for one to four artworks entered, presentation is by digital JPG image files. There is a $5.00 fee for each additional artwork above four. Details of flat, 2D artwork count as an additional artwork. 3D wall hung pieces and sculpture may include one additional view per artwork without cost. Artists accepted to exhibit will not be charged additional fees Payments is by credit card at the time of entry using PayPal. Artists not able to use PayPal may send a check or money order via regular mail, payable to SlowArt Productions

IMAGE USE / COPYRIGHTS:  Artist retains all copyrights to submitted images and represented artwork.  All digital images submitted with artist entries are for the selection process only and will be deleted after completion of the jury. By entering the competition, artists selected to exhibit grant Limner Gallery rights to use the selected image(s) on printed materials and the gallery web site for promotional purposes only. Limner Gallery and/or SlowArt retain no copyrights to artists work.  

NOTIFICATION:  Artists will be notified of acceptance or non-acceptance no later than May 31, 2023. Notification will by by posting the results on or before this date at: http://www.slowart.com/results  Notification will also be made via email, however, due to spam and email unreliability, the results web page is the official confirmation.

PRIVACY POLICY: Artist contact information (address, telephone, etc.) is only held for the purpose of contacting selected artists and is not preserved in any database. Entry data and image files are deleted on the completion of the jury process. All artists will have the opportunity to opt out of our future events and announcement email list when they receive their notification.

DEADLINE: The entry deadline is April 30, 2023. Entries must be submitted via email or postmarked by this date.

IMAGE SUBMISSION GUIDELINES


All entries are via email with JPG image attachments or posted to a web page with a direct html link. Email files must be in JPG format, maximum 2500 pixels (approx.)on largest side. Please submit attached files, not a zip file. Images may also be posted to a dedicated web page and a link provided to the page. Web page images should not be download restricted. Videos artists may post on a web page, YouTube, Vimeo or similar service and provide a link to the video.
