This is the first version of Fruity Loops that I've actually purchased. I've used demos and borrowed versions before, but finally with FL 10, they've fixed things that were not great about previous versions. One of my biggest problems with the old Fruity Loops is that it didn't allow you to cut measures, which was a big deal for me because I like to use odd meters sometimes. I had to use common denominators and/or edit the exported .wav files in another program. Also, the piano roll used to have questionable intonation, but that seems to have been corrected. The effects sound good, and it doesn't take long to figure out how to automate them - as well as automating volume, speed, etc.
Personally, I'd say that this is probably about as far into the Fruity world as most people need to go. The upgrades seem expensive, and mostly seem to involve being able to record into Fruity Loops - something I consider to be unnecessary. You can just import the files you make in Fruity Loops into another program (I use Reaper) and record whatever other live layers you want over that.

It is a great program, but it does limit what you do more than the demo version, which is really weird due to actually paying for it puts more restrictions, then just keeping it as a demo. Now if you really want to try it out get the demo and do as much as you can before it restricts you, then if you want the version you where using you would have to buy the complete producer version.

First of all I cant stand writing bad reviews its just so hard for me to do so. When i tried the demo i just couldnt get anywhere with the software and also it had all of these demo synthesizers and i wanted that to end. The difference between this and the demo is that you can save your work and the demo cant. That really disapointed me because I wanted no Limitation. Second Fl puts stuff in its fruity edition that cannot be used only if you get the producer edition. You'll commonly get the screen (This feature is only available in Producer edition). Also I know that for 78 bucks for a DAW is probably the best price for music creation software, but I think that they should at least give ONE synthesizer to you without the demo. By synthesizer i mean the complex ones like sakura or toxic bio. Honestly Ive been pulling my hair out with this software to make music because for (ME) Its not a good workflow. The side bar confuses me and with all the options and stuff i get lost in where I am. Granted i've had the software for 2 days and if i finally get past this and learn how to do something i will post an update. My friend swore by this software and he also made a remix of scary monsters in demo. I have no idea how he did that because even in fruity edition you can import another song to slice and put together. I am gonna be trying my hardest to learn this software but i think in the end i may be getting something else. My suggestion is try the demo and if it works for you then great if not and you cant do anything, this edition wont be any bit better. I really like presonus and even with their free version i can make a basic song in under an hour. I'll post an update when i learn it but for now Im just having a hard time...

I bought this as a gift for my brother who is into music tech. He loves the ease of use and the preloaded sound bits. There is the opportunity to get more online which is nice. Also, FL will let you upgrade to the newest version for free online, as long as you register your product. This is a nice feature to keep your current program from becoming obsolete in a few years.

You cannot beat that service. It arrived in secure packaging, undamaged and as I am writing this review, my son is using the program and producing his own music! He is thrilled to bits with his present and would recommend this product and seller to any-one. Amazing all round service!

This edition does not allow you to record your own instruments. I'm going to have to upgrade my PC and upgrade to a higher edition of the product to do what I wanted it to do. You need the Producer Edition to record yourself playing something, and you need a sound card with AISO.
However, if you want to create music from scratch it will do the job very well.
