Prescott Wentworth is my brother's best friend and teammate. We hate each other. But we also can't keep our hands off each other.

The day I met the star wide receiver, he was acting like a grumpy ass, and I was so over big, bulky men messing with my life. He was gorgeous, with wide shoulders, a chiseled jaw hidden behind a week’s worth of scruff, and the meanest glare I've seen in my life. So what if he was injured during a game? At least he's alive, not that he appreciates it.

Now it's a new school year, but some things never change.

Like the sizzling tension between Prescott and me every time we’re in the same room. But the more we fight, the more I want to shut him up. With my mouth.

Then he sees me on a date with someone else, and something in him snaps.

The deal is simple: it's just sex, and nobody can ever find out. Especially not my brother.

But then the demons from my past come back to haunt me. The darker they become, the more I need Prescott. And I’m beginning to feel like he needs me too.

NOTE: Kiss To Shatter is book one in Shattered & Salvaged Duet. It ends on a cliffhanger. Shattered & Salvaged Duet contains dark and mature themes appropriate for readers 18+.

“It's like he understands me. Even when I don't say a word, he knows. He knows my storm. The only one who can tame it.”

Kiss to Shatter is the sixth book in the Blairwoord University series and follows Jade, Nixon's little sister, and Prescott, his best friend, and teammate.

Jade and Prescott are recurring characters in the series, and ever since the novella that previewed their relationship came out, I've been looking forward to their story! It seems like they can't stand each other because they bicker all the time and drive each other crazy, but their chemistry is pretty palpable. What they don't realize is that they have a lot in common. Jade is still very much affected by the death of her mother, and Prescott is hiding secrets about his family. They are two broken souls who are secretly dealing with many personal issues, and when they are together, they can forget and find comfort. The development of their relationship and feelings for each other was perfectly written. They set a lot of boundaries when they became sex friends, but as they spent more time together, confiding in each other, you could see how good they were together and how much they needed each other. The push and pull between them also made me devour their book! Even though they hid their pain in front of others, they had a lot of support from their friends, and it was great to see more of Nixon and Yasmin, and Penny again! I also loved the forbidden trope between them, especially with all the secret glances and touches they gave each other around their friends. Jade and Prescott's story is the rollercoaster of emotions I've been waiting for, and after that cliffhanger, I'm really looking forward to seeing how their story will end. They are two very strong and brave characters, and they deserve only the best! So don't miss Kiss to Salvage, the conclusion of their story, coming out on December 9!

I love a good brother's best friend/enemies to lovers troupe story. So, reading this book gave me good vibes. I was all for Jade and Preston. They sizzled together. Although, it helped that they shared intense angst between them. The buildup is what really did make this book so good.

These two were broken souls due to their fathers but they found solace in each other. Thus, their relationship was not just a physical one but an emotional one as well. I felt bad for Jade's brother, Nixon. he really loves Jade and would do anything to protect her. So, when he hears about Jade's truth my heart broke a little with this cliffhanger. I can't wait to read the conclusion to this duet and get more of Jade and Preston.

Oh wow! I am struggling to find the words to convey just how AMAZING Kiss To Shatter is! I have said it before and I shall say it again, this author is a complete expert when it comes to new adult romances that have characters who are exceptionally likable and incredibly easy to relate to. A heartbreaking, emotional and angsty read, this brother’s best friend, sports romance features Blairwood University’s Jade and Prescott. The hate to love element is marvelously well done and I am loving every minute of their push-pull banter along with the intense and fiery attraction towards each other. This book packs an emotional punch as both Jade and Prescott are battling their own demons. The character development within this book is impeccable and the author perfectly captures the essence of what it is to be a new adult with gaining independence, finding love, and journeying towards self discovery. Jade and Prescott both have life experiences that have shaped who they are today and how they are handling what life throws at them. There are some heart-wrenching moments along with me wanting to both shake them and wrap them in a big hug.

Kiss To Shatter is book one in a duet which means there is quite the cliffhanger. Fortunately, the second and final installment will release in a few short weeks because I am desperate to find out what will happen next. This book is a part of this author’s Blairwood University series and their duet can be read as a standalone ,but I high recommend the other books as they are phenomenal. For readers who have been following the series, you will love getting caught up with all of the characters in the previous books. Kiss To Shatter is a must -read if you enjoy college romances, sports romances, and/or the brother’s best friend trope.

I voluntarily read an early version of this manuscript. All thoughts and opinions are entirely my own.

Anna B. Doe have just given me my new favorite couple!

Books like these are my kryptonite! It includes enemies-to-lovers, broken characters, snark and humor all mixed in while there's this other part, this piece that is brewing in the background, that I KNOW is going to come to the surface but it's the when and how that has me glued because I need to know how it's all going to go down.

Kiss To Shatter is the first book in Jade and Prescott's duet. Let me just say this story had me addicted from beginning to end!

These two are fire and ice! Reading along as Prescott and Jade try to fight their attraction to each other was so much fun.

Let me also say this story has a serious undertone. While their behavior towards each other was fun to read, they each are going through personal issues that they are battling that gives this story the depth that makes it such a powerful read.

I truly believe this duet is Anna's best work to date and I highly recommend reading this!

Where do I even start!!!!

True to its title, this book does Shatter your heart into a million pieces. It better Salvage it in the next one xD

Jade was such an integral part in Kiss To Forget and the things she went through and the struggles they were something which is so difficult to even imagine.
But when we get her POV that's when you really really get to see and read what she actually went through. She is such a strong woman and I cant help but be devastated to see what else she is going through in this book!!!! 😭😭
Prescott is broken as much as Jade if not more. His injury, him going back to playing football other things pestering and constant nightmares.

They both are so attracted to each other but always have the fear of him betraying his best friend. But ultimately their attraction surpasses everything and they have some of the hottest time of their lives...
But at the end everything comes to a stop when they get caught by Nixon aka Jade's brother and Prescott's best friend and one major secret that Jade was gaurding with her life!!!!!

This book is so much more than just a story of how two people who haye eachother get together in such a steamy way, but is a book which has so much more meaning, emotions and depth to each character all of these packed in this book. The journey till here was amazing!!!!!

I can not wait for the next one!!!

THAT ENDING?

Yeah, this is a duet and that ending has all the senses in the world, but... I need kiss to salvage, like right now.

I'm a big fan of this series and I loved and enjoyed every book, character and couple and, of course, Jade and Prescott were not going to be less.

Anna gets you hooked on her stories, and you connect with her characters through her words. She does every time.

We met Jade in Nixon's book and from the story in that book, we knew where this one was going. So yes, this one is another rollercoaster of emotions, not only for Jade but for Prescott too. Reading about Jade was sad how she tries to enjoy and tries to act like nothing happens because she doesn’t want to worry her friends and her brother.

Prescott for his side, it's recovering from an injury and is not easy, he has to give his best when he simply can not do more, he can’t let his team down, and he has to give it his best. But the injury is not the only complication, because reading how he feels attracted to the sister of one of his best friends and teammates has been a true marvel.

Prescott and Jade hate each other, or that's what they think, cause the reality it's that these two are more similar than they think they are. The tension between them, how they start spending time together cause they enjoy each other’s company, obviously no one knows about them.

I love the secrecy, the ''forbidden'' and how the relationship between them evolves. I can't wait to read more about them in their second book!

Thank you Anna for the arc, the book, the characters and this group!

Before I start I want to suggest that you don't watch the trigger warnings in this book just out of curiosity, I did and that part of Anna B. Doe's website is full of spoilers!! Even so, I'm totally surprised and delighted with everything that this author prepared for Jade & Prescott because I didn't see this kind of story coming for them: everything was much more complex than I expected and although this book has a lot of funny and cute moments, I loved that the plot focused much more on the demons of the main characters and I'm honestly very happy that Kiss to Salvage is not going to take so long to arrive because I need to know what's going to happen with these two.

I have to say that Jade's character was a bit of a mystery to me when I started reading Blairwood University with Kiss To Defy 😅, when I read Kiss To Forget and knew her story I began to understand many things about her, BUT with this book I understood 100% her impulsive attitude, aggressive behavior towards life and thoughts towards romantic relationships. Something that really broke my heart was reading her making bad decisions, trying to do the best she can and protecting the people she loves, even when it means facing her demons alone 💔, definitely something that I loved about Jade, in addition to the possibility of understanding her better, was that Anna return to the part of her plot in which she had to face her mother's illness alone while Nixon could forget a little bit about the situation being in Blairwood, something I sincerely hope both of them can talk about/resolve in the next book of this duet. And speaking of Nix & Jade, I loved reading their relationship again because even when they're not going through the best of times they're constantly worrying about each other, I also loved that Jade was this strong female character, who although she is constantly wrong, has a big heart, does everything to protect those she loves, who is a little lost but knows what she wants and is not afraid to speak her mind.

Prescott is another character that I had a hard time understanding at first, and although in his case there are certain behaviors that I didn't quite like and that I don't justify, I can also understand him much better after knowing more about him, his personal and family situation. Prescott has been in a complex situation for most of the series due to an injury that has not allowed him to play for months and has turned him into a grumpy, moody boy who is quite angry with life and doesn't know how to react to what is happening to him, something that is clearer than ever when reading everything he goes through in Kiss To Shatter to fulfill one of the most important promises of his life.

Something that I really liked, but also made me suffer a lot, is that Jade & Prescott are two people who are destroyed in more ways than one, totally lost in their lives and especially finding the refuge they so much need in the other, even though their relationship is more than a little toxic and taking into account how much they both hate each other and spend time fighting. I think my favorite part of their relationship was Anna taking her time with these two to start creating a bond that goes beyond sex for both of them 👏, I loved that Prescott had the confidence to tell Jade something even Nixon doesn't know and that Jade could talk about her mom with him the way she can't with anyone, and although I'm very afraid of what might happen to both of them in Kiss to Salvage, I also have high hopes for the second part of their love story and their personal stories.

Enemies to lovers
Brothers best friend
Sports romance
College setting

First I want to say I was worried about coming into a series so far in (I mean this is book 6), but I absolutely had no issue. There was nothing I was confused about if anything he made me want to read the previous books even more! Every second of this book was a joy to read.

Jade and Prescott hate each other, they can’t be around one another for any amount of time without getting into an argument. Which makes the spice, and banter even better!

Both Jade and Prescott are dealing with some very deep issues, and are keeping a lot bottled up. They’re both very broken in their own way. I really feel like their relationship is what each other really needed, just to not feel like they’re struggling alone. Only issue is Jade is off limits she’s Prescott’s best friends little sister. I can not wait for the second part of their story!

“ℋℯ 𝒸ℴ𝓊𝓁𝒹 𝓉𝒶𝓀ℯ 𝓂𝓎 𝒹ℯ𝓂ℴ𝓃𝓈 𝒶𝓃𝒹 𝒸ℴ𝓂ℯ ℴ𝓊𝓉 𝓈𝓌𝒾𝓃𝑔𝒾𝓃𝑔”

Jade and Prescott hate each other, they can’t be in a room for more than a minute before the bickering starts, but they also can’t forget that one night during spring break. Will those memories bring them together again or is their hate for each other too strong?

I loved Jade and Prescott’s banter. There is nothing better than some enemies to lovers banter and tension, and boy did they have it which gives us the perfect kind of spice🔥. It was also nice to see them get to know each other on different levels and watch their feeling naturally progress for each other. I can’t wait to see where they go in Kiss To Salvage and how they navigate different situations.

“𝐼 𝒹ℯ𝓋ℴ𝓊𝓇 𝒽ℯ𝓇 𝓂ℴ𝓊𝓉𝒽 𝓌𝒾𝓉𝒽 𝓂𝒾𝓃ℯ 𝓁𝒾𝓀ℯ 𝐼’𝓁𝓁 𝒹𝒾ℯ 𝒾𝒻 𝐼 𝒹ℴ𝓃’𝓉 𝓀𝒾𝓈𝓈 𝒽ℯ𝓇. ℒ𝒾𝓀ℯ 𝓈𝒽ℯ’𝓈 𝓉𝒽ℯ 𝒶𝒾𝓇 𝐼 𝓃ℯℯ𝒹 𝓉ℴ 𝒷𝓇ℯ𝒶𝓉𝒽ℯ. ℒ𝒾𝓀ℯ 𝓈𝒽ℯ’𝓈 𝓂𝒾𝓃ℯ.”

Kiss To Shatter is more than a spicy romance. It touches on different topics, all of which are very real life circumstances and that brings a lot of depth to the story. Anna killed me with that ending I need Kiss To Salvage!

This is book 6 in an interconnected standalone. From someone who has not read the other books, I can confirm that you will not feel lost if you chose to read this one first. I had no trouble following along with the story or characters.

Kiss To Shatter by Anna B. Doe is the first book in the Shattered & Salvaged Duet. But overall this is book 6 in the Blairwood University series.

Kiss To Shatter is a brothers best friends, college sports romance, but it is so much more than that. It’s filled with emotion, secrets and angst.

Jade and Prescott’s story has been one that’s been hinted at a little in the past few books of the Blairwood University series, and even more so in the novella, Kiss Me Forever.

These two are so similar, yet completely different in many ways. Their greatest similarity is the things that keep them awake at night, the secrets they hold onto and those that haunt them. Both are broken under the surface, but won’t allow anyone in, as they are each just as stubborn as the other and don’t need to rely on anyone else. All of this makes for a perfect frenemies kind of vibe they have going on.

All of their back and forth banter and attraction finally comes to the surface, and these two couldn’t be more explosive. No wonder their story required a duet.

The note in regards to triggers I felt is key to this book, as there is a lot that both Jade and Prescott experience. This book isn’t lighthearted and it does dive into some serious and emotional topics.

I’m looking forward to seeing where these two end up in the next part of the duet, Kiss to Salvage.

It's been a while since I've read this author, but I'm quickly going to remedy that asap! Brothers best friend is also the elite trope in the romance world, so I couldn't wait until I had this baby in my hands, and boy, it did not disappoint! There is so much angst and emotion within these pages, and the demons this couple faces is not for the faint of heart. There will definitely be some tears shed, but the love these two share is so worth it.

Prescott and Jade have been apart of each other's lives for years, and though their chemistry is undeniable, they also can't stand each other. But they also just might be the only ones who can really help and understand what they are going through. And the connection they form because of it is just so beautiful.

I'm trying so hard not to give away any spoilers, but just know this is not your usual lighthearted romance. Yes there's some humorous times here, but our author really delves into what these characters are going through, to the point where I was glued to my kindle. And combine all that with that cliffy, I can't WAIT for book two!!

**I received an ARC of this book and these are my honest opinions**

“Prescott Wentworth is my brother's best friend and teammate. We hate each other. But we also can't keep our hands off each other.”

Review:

Welcome to Blairwood University, This is Jade and Prescott’s book. The tropes are Sports romance, Enemies to Lovers, Brother’s Best friend.

This book is fantastic! I love the build up of the story, the snarky comebacks, the push and pull, the angst and the jealousy. Jade is the little sister of Prescott’s Best-friend, she is off limits however both cannot escape their intense attraction and connection. Jade’s character has a rebellious attitude but she has something going on that is truly going to shift the story. Also, Prescott’s having a hard time coming back from being injured and his actions will have repercussions.

There are a lot of emotional baggages that came from the past that affects their present lives. This book is in dual POV. What I love more about this book is that the main characters are dealing with different situations, we get to see how they face it and I wonder how can they survive it as the story progress. I also love that some of the other characters from the other books appear. I personally love the moment between Maddox and Edie.

This book ends in a cliffhanger and after I read the ending, although I know it’s kind of predictable given the circumstances, I was indeed shattered. Anna did an amazing job giving Jade and Prescott a difficult road to pass, there will be a lot of things that’s going to happen in the next book and I am going to prepare my emotions for what’s to come.

Next book, Kiss To Salvage, release date is on December 9th.

Take note of the trigger warnings before reading the book. ARC Received in exchange for an honest review.

While the other books in this series have been standalone HEAs, Jade and Prescott are getting a duet. That alone should tell you that their story is going to be a roller coaster ride, and it definitely delivers. This book does end on a cliffhanger, and that cliffhanger holds true to the title of the book, as it left me shattered, and wanting the rest of their story right away.

The main tropes in this duet are best friends little sister, and some really fun enemies to lovers vibes and banter. Jude and Prescott constantly get on each other’s nerves, and they can’t seem to be in a room together without fighting. And while neither of them would deny, at least to themselves, that they are attracted to the other, they are also convinced that they hate each other. They’re also both dealing with some pretty challenging personal history that makes neither of them interested in any kind of relationship. But when one stolen, steamy moment morphs into more, and then so much more, they both agree that a little physical release, and nothing more, is something they need and want. The push and pull between them is great, they really do drive each other crazy, in every possible way, and the more they spend time together, things unexpectedly become so much more than just that physical release for both of them. And that scares the crap out of them.

While this isn’t a dark romance, there are some pretty significant and weighty issues at play in this story, so please please please check your trigger and content warnings - just be forewarned that those CW/TW may spoil a bit of the plot. But these are some pretty complicated and sensitive situations, and if you have triggers, you should give yourself some grace here.

Prescott is dealing with coming back from a major knee injury that sidelined him from football for nine months. He’s determined to play and help his team during his senior year to get to the championships, no matter what it takes. He’s also dealing with a pretty messed up home situation with his parents that comes to light, and only complicates everything further. Meanwhile, Jade has her own difficult history, the loss of her mother, the abandonment of her father, and some unexpected challenges of her own that she is terrified to even admit to herself. It all builds and builds to a crescendo cliffhanger that is highly emotionally charged, and sets up what is sure to be a deeply emotional, difficult, and likely wonderful journey in the next book. And I can’t wait.

Oof, that was gone in what felt like a blink, but the emotional rollercoaster will be felt for a while.

Jade and Prescott's banter was so entertaining. I loved the way they verbally sparred with each other, before giving in to the intense pull between them.

While Jade frustrated me at times (with her speculations about what was wrong with her, but her lack of actions to address if it was a problem) I could understand that her inaction was brought about by her past trauma.

While I had expected the ending to go pretty much the way it did, I still have so many questions and will no doubt be put through an emotional wringer in the next book.

As for Prescott's circumstances, I can only hope this reality check will point him in the right direction, rather than him following the path he is currently on.

Steamy, tragic and beautifully written, this was a very enjoyable and extremely impassioned story.

Kiss to Shatter
Author: Anna B. Doe

eARC & Book Review
Pub Date: Nov. 18, 2022
4.5 ⭐️

In part one of the Shattered & Salvaged duet we meet Preston and Jade. Preston is Jade’s brother’s best friend and yes, they do hate each other. However, I’m sure you’ve heard of the enemies to lovers trope 😈

This novel features (sexual) tension, banter, and each characters’ own demons coming to light.

I absolutely loved this novel and flew through it. I am a sucker for sports romances and this one did not disappoint. This is the first novel I’ve read by Anna, and it won’t be the last! It had the perfect amount of love and pain all in one package.

After that cliffhanger, I cannot wait for book two in the duet!

Thank you Anna for this eARC in exchange for my honest review.

This book is hot and I love the sexy time scenes but that’s about all it’s got going for it. There are way too many random people that I got lost knowing all of Jades friends and it made the book confusing. I enjoyed the romance because I love enemies to lovers but I just wanted something else. There was a lot going on in the book with Jade believing she had cancer, her mom having cancer, her dad being a dick, her being sexually assaulted and the whole bathtub thing which I’m still not sure what’s going on with that. Then you have Prescott who is addicted to pain killers, has a brother who died of cancer and a dad whose a dick along with a mom who is so emotionally abused by her husband that she doesn’t love her son properly. I just think the book had way too many ideas and it needed to be calmed down more.

Anna did it again!! Her books are really special and I’ve loved reading about this group of friends. I knew Jade had been through a lot and Prescott seemed like the typical college guy and even though I suffered with everything, I loved learning about their past and how both had lots of demons to face. They fought a lot but it was obvious the chemistry they had so it was nice reading how their relationship started changing and how they tried to rely on each other with their problems.

We knew about Jade from the previous books and she had been suffering for a while but she still tried to act tough in front of her friends and while I hated how she did everything alone at least she started getting closer to Prescott and they both helped each other forget about their issues. She and Nixon had a great relationship and even though they bickered a lot they were always there for each other.

Prescott was Nixon’s best friend and he was very easygoing and friendly but thanks to his injury we started seeing a different side of him. He also had some secrets none of his friends knew about; he wanted a fresh start being in Blairwood but his parents were always telling him how disappointed they were of him🥺 He was an amazing hero and I hated everything he was going through but at least we got to know more about his past and understand his background story.

Jade and Prescott didn’t get along at first but I loved their discussions and how it was obvious they were attracted to each other, Prescott was always jealous when Jade was near and it was a matter of time before all of their sexual tension exploded.
I loved reading their interactions especially seeing their feelings changing, they both needed someone to trust and it was nice knowing how they were becoming close.

The last chapter was very heartbreaking and after that cliffhanger I’m dying to read the next book and see how they’ll figure things out and face everything their going through.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book.

Ok, first I’d like to say Thank You to Anna for allowing me to read an ARC of your book 🫶🏻

I’d give this 4.5-5⭐️

I went into this knowing it was a football, brothers best friend, college romance. But, it ended up being so much more.
While I haven’t read the other books in this series (I’ll be getting to those shortly, that’s for sure), this book delivered for me and then some.

The push and pull chemistry between Jade Cole and Prescott Wentworth was truly palpable. You could feel it through the pages. The pain and secrets from their past and present that they want to keep hidden are just heart wrenching. Because of these factors they build not only a physical connection but also an emotional one.

One of my favorite things about this story is that it’s dual POV, so you can see how each side is feeling as the story progresses and you get insight into the secrets and pain that is going on inside each character. It truly makes you FEEL for them and makes it that much more real.

I don’t want to say too much because you just NEED to read it for yourself, but this story was just beautiful. And that cliffhanger at the end?! Like what…at least Anna warned us that it was going to end with a cliffhanger 😅

Read this if you like the following:
(1) Amazing friend group with dynamic personalities
(2) Brothers best friend/ forbidden romance
(3) College & Football
(4) Angst, Emotion and real RAW characters going through REAL things.
(5) Sweet & Spicy 🌶🔥

This novel has me all in tune with my emotions. I was happy, sad, lustful, sad, angry, and hopeful. As the story progressed I became more and more enchanted in everything about this novel.

Jade Cole is the younger sister of Nixon Cole the University quarterback and team captain. Nixon is very protective of his younger sister even though she is just trying to explore a college life. They have faced several hardships recently in their lives causing pain and sadness. Jade has a secret that will only hurt everyone when it comes out.

Prescott Wentworth is a football player who happens to be best friends with Nixon Cole. He is no stranger to tragedy as he faced many hardships including a career suffering ACL injury leaving him on the bench. Now he is better at least that’s what the doctors say. However, he still feels pain in his knee. When will it be too much for him to go on? Jade Cole. The sister to his best friend, a thorn in his side.

They never saw eye to eye. Bickering all the time. Now he sees her in a different light and she sees him as a means of distraction. These two have passion and lust written all over. Can they keep only physical relationship with no strings? What will Nixon say when he finds out??

Stay tuned for Novel 2 in the duet Kiss to Salvage.

the blurb before the book started let me know this was gonna end in a cliffhanger and i sighed really loud because i didn’t want to be left on unfinished business. then i thought to myself, hey it’s a sports romance how bad could it be? i was wrong.

i did not like any of these characters for majority of the book, but most specifically, i HATED the fmc. oh my gosh. the entire premise of this book is jade THINKING she has cancer, and yet NEVER going to the doctor to get it checked out. and i understand the survivor’s guilt, and i understand anxiety and fear revolving around that guilt and grief, but then she tells her brother and boyfriend she has cancer with NO confirmed diagnosis??? that was it for me. in regards to the mmc, i just hated that his name was prescott. actually, i hated both prescott’s and nixon’s names. but anyhow, just as i was starting to maybe warm up for prescott’s personality, the book ENDED. so.

rated this a cawpile score of 2.93 and i’m honestly surprised it ended up being so high. i was just constantly annoyed by the characters’ choices within this book. the only characters i actually thoroughly enjoyed throughout were marcus, penny, and spencer, who each had such short lived appearances soooo. yeah this book just felt very immature to me, but you already know i’m gonna come back to it to see if jade really does have cancer. i’m also very intrigued to see how she goes about her photography project.

Kiss to Shatter does indeed shatter your heart but also gives you the best of times; it's so damn good which came to me as no surprise knowing these characters and world! 🥰

Ever since introduced to Jade she's had a special place in my heart and her own story heightened the love I have for her tenfold! Jade has gone through so much and you see her suffering alone while pretending she's having the time of her life. 🥺 Enter Prescott. He has a lot more going on than his past injury that still hurts him as well, his own demons haunting his dreams. They seriously completely broke my heart 💔🤧

Jade and Prescott are both broken souls trying their best to survive their shattered hearts. But their story is not only emotional but also beautiful, fun and filled with angst and steam; all of it making your heart flutter! 😌💕

These two bicker aallll the time haha most of the time they can't even be in the same room without it, more than ones I was smiling and giggling alone like a crazy person 😄🙉 They so badly want to hate each other but end up crashing into each other constantly, Prescott being Jade's brother's best friend and hanging out in the same friend group.

Heated arguments between the two turn into angry kisses and secret passionate hookups which honestly are the best steam Anna has written so far 🤭❤️‍🔥 Together they want to forget even if only for a moment and finding comfort in each other; it's so beautiful.

They're truly as epic as I knew they would be and I would be lying if I said I wasn't utterly and deeply ✨️ obsessed ✨️ with them and this book!

Anna B Doe brought the captivating read with this one! She was not holding back and it definitely was well worth the read!

Kiss To Shatter is an enemies to lovers, best friend’s sister, sports romance that will have you grasping for more! Jade Cole and Prescott Wentworth have such amazing chemistry! Their banter is so good and they definitely bring the heat. This book definitely brought the angst. I enjoyed reading this book one hundred percent. I love Jades sassy attitude and fierceness. Prescott was the perfect broody male to battle it out with Jade. These two definitely have some secrets that are holding them back. Kiss To Shatter was exciting, full of drama, and characters we already know and love. I feel that Anna B Doe really but her all into this one and delivered it wonderfully!

I loved this read and I am dying for more of Jade and Prescott! I am counting down the seconds till I can get my hands on book two in this duet. I definitely recommend this book for all! I also recommend this series!

When two broken souls come together, aka my favorite. And add in enemies to lovers, best friend’s little sister, and sports romance. THE SPICE. The tension. The chemistry.

AND THAT CLIFFHANGER. Fuck, Kiss to Salvage can’t come out quick enough (12/9, btw). I was in a reading slump and just couldn’t get into a book. The freaking prologue had me hooked and I read this in ONE sitting in the span of 4 hours.

This follows Prescott & Jade. Aka Hotshot and Doll (love me some pet names). Preston is the running back who’s back to playing after being injured the previous year and is now a senior - getting ready for med school. Jade is Prescott’s best friend’s little sister - a sophomore who’s in graphic design.

Jade is working through demons of her past and the trauma that losing her mother to breast cancer brought. Preston, similarly, is working through childhood grief and survivors guilt. I don’t want to say anything else because you need to experience this for yourself.

We get dual point of view in first person. And honestly?? You just need to read this one.

Due to her past Jade hasn’t shared everything she has been through with those she is closest to. What she has been through has made her strong, independent and only lets people so close before she withdraws. Every time that she and Prescott are together the sparks of antagonism fly until the sparks ignite into a fire that neither can deny.

Prescott’s best friend is Jade’s brother, so he has always tried to distance himself from her. He is going through a difficult time himself both when it comes to family and football, and they find a kindred spirit in each other. What was supposed to be a physical relationship turns into so much more and that is when the angst really begins.

Prescott and Jade are two complex and captivating characters whose emotional journey escalates into a cliffhanger that leaves us wanting more of this couple and their story.

How am I supposed to write a review after that ending?

Kiss to Shatter is a brothers best friend, enemies to lovers romance with alot of steam and alot of emotion. Jade and Prescott are two super complex characters that somehow make the perfect couple together.

In the beginning of the book I got annoyed alot with Jade but throughout the book she‘s warmed up to me, even if she was a brat to her friends, family and Prescott.
Prescott‘s past has been interesting to me. I wish we could‘ve explored it a little bit more in book one but I bet we‘ll get to see more in book two.

Anna B Doe has written a masterpiece with Kiss to Shatter in my opinion. I can not wait to see how this story continues because that cliffhanger was just brutal!!

Oh my poor heart!
Never have I wanted to take a fictional character and give them a huge hug more than Jade…. She is the most beautiful of souls and yet so lonely in her suffering. I wanted to hug her then shake her then hug her again!
Then we have Prescott, what a wonderfully complicated man.
These two had my chest aching, my heart filling and then breaking all at once!
With some wonderful humour and real dialogue I was completely engrossed from start to finish…
I can’t wait to find out the truth and follow these characters as they face a demon and fingers crossed they manage to slay it!
This is my favourite in this series so far with Jade and Prescott, a couple who are definitely made for each other in every way….even if they haven’t quite realised it yet!

Kiss To Shatter is the first book in Jade and Prescott's duet.

These two are like gasoline and a match - constantly bickering and fighting but also can't keep away from each other.

I loved the banter and tension, and when they finally give in to it all, the fire between them rages!

But it's the emotional side to the characters that surprised me.

They are both beautifully broken. They are each keeping secrets that could rip their world apart.

This cliffhanger is brutal! 🤯

I'm on the edge of my seat waiting to see what's going to happen next.
Thankfully, we don't have to wait too long to get the conclusion to their story ❤️

This is a brother's best friend's, enemies to lovers, college sport romance, Prescott and Jade's story was enthralling, it kept me reading from start to finish. I love a good enemies to lovers story and this one is exactly what I like, great characters, a good plot line and a chemistry that is just undeniable. I really enjoyed the way the characters were developed, there is so much emotions going through them that makes the reading a good pace and addictive. I can't wait to read the next part of their story.

My first ARC read, and now I feel spoiled. What I love about Anna is she gives her trigger warnings up front and on her website. She gives you the option to go in blind or to review what triggers are in her books. Personally I like reading them ahead of time to know what I’m getting myself into after accidentally going in blind and then stopping mid read for a panic attack. I could not put this book down. It was exciting, intense, and adorable. Prescott & Jades relationship is an absolute chefs kiss. Again not trying to be biased because it’s an ARC but please stop reading my review and go get this book when it launches. You will not regret it, it’s fantastic. Thank you Anna for trusting me, you’re so talented and I cannot wait to find out what happens next !!!
- Sports Romance🏈
- Brothers Best Friend🫣
- friends w/ benefits that obviously fall for eachother because the trope is too good.
- ⚠️ please if you’re not potentially in the right headspace read the trigger warning ahead of time.
