How do I schedule a videoconference call / meeting?

VTT Course Instructors

As an instructor of a regularly scheduled class that uses VTT technology, you are not expected to schedule any calls in the system. Instead, you will just need to go to your classroom prior to the start of your class and ensure that devices are ready. Ask your point of contact at your education center how much or how little work you will need to do to "warm up" your classroom prior to your class.

General Staff / Administrators

IMPORTANT: If you merely wish to use VTT technology for videoconferencing in a non-regularly schedule class (eg. a department meeting, an employee training session, etc.), you must complete both of the following steps: reserving the physical room and reserving the VTT videoconference connection.
  1. Reserve the physical room equipped with VTT hardware / software with your education center scheduler, or via the AdAstra Schedule system.
  2. Schedule the videoconference connection by calling the University Technology Services Helpdesk at 352-588-8888 or by using the UTS Helpdesk > Classroom Technology > Video Conference Request ticket form. Be sure to specify any desired options, such as Recording, or Continuous Presence View versus Voice Activated View.

Where can I find a list of VTT-enabled sites?

The most accurate list of VTT-enabled university sites / locations is available via the UTS Helpdesk > Classroom Technology > Video Conference Request ticket form.
