Due to their convenience and versatility, QR Codes are widely used to personalize marketing campaigns, improve product packaging, promote events, and share shipping or tracking information.
Creating a QR Code with Bitly is quick and simple.
- Sign up for or sign into your Bitly account.
- Go to Create new and select QR Code from the options.
- Enter the Destination URL for the information you’d like to encode (and any code details if applicable, like customized domain or back-half options for the short link generated alongside your QR Code).
- Select Design your code and customize your QR Code style, colors, logo (or center text), frame, corners, and branding (available in some plans).
- Select Create your code and that’s it—you’re ready to go! You can download your code in JPEG, PNG, or SVG format or copy it directly from the Bitly platform.
Depending on your Bitly plan, you can create up to 200 Bitly QR Codes each month. And for brands needing hundreds or thousands of codes per month (or more), our custom enterprise solutions are ideal!

Bitly QR Codes don’t expire on their own. If you want one to stop working on a schedule, set an expiration date and time during or after creation, available on paid plans. You can also redirect a QR Code to a new URL at any time or delete the link behind it to turn it off.
As many times as you’d like! No matter which Bitly plan you sign up for, all Bitly QR Codes can be scanned an unlimited number of times. This accessibility makes them suitable for both large-scale and small-scale campaigns.
